Currently January 2015 - Saddle up for Second Grade

Currently January 2015

Happy New Year sweet readers! Can you believe it is 2015?!? Time is flying by folks but I cannot wait to see what 2015 has in store for me and my little family. We have lots to look forward too so stay tuned! I'm linking up with Farley for the first currently linky of the year.

Listening: the hubs has the Oregon v. Florida St. game on.

Loving: I love breaks. I haven't put make up on or fixed my hair in almost 2 weeks. Don't you just LOVE breaks? Now I have managed to at least shower, blow dry my hair and brush my teeth but that is as far as I've gotten. Oh, and I've been in comfy sweats the entire time too. LOVE IT!

Thinking: 2015 is going to be a big year for my little family. I can't reveal all the details yet (no, I am not pregnant) but stay tuned.

Wanting: Last year (ha, it was 1 day ago and it feels weird saying that) was the first year in I don't know how long that I didn't go snow skiing somewhere. I told the hubs I'd like to go for spring break. We'll see if it happens.

Needing: Ugh! I have to go to the school and finish making my copies for next week. I also need to reorganize a few things. I have a bad case of the I don't want to's right now.

Yes: I'm super excited and SUPER nervous about this one. I'll be presenting at the first annual iTeach 2nd conference in Las Vegas this summer on July 6th. I don't know a whole lot of details yet but as soon as I know some more information I'll let you know. I do know that you can register for the conference here. I'll be presenting over academic vocabulary.

Maybe: I have my fingers crossed on this one. We are planning to buy our first home sometime this year. I watch a lot of HGTV so I have high expectations. lol

I wish: I wish that we lived closer to our families. We are 4 1/2 hours to my family and almost 8 to my husbands family. We had planned on spending an entire week with my family over the break but that didn't get to happen due to my husbands job. :( I'm way homesick right now. I don't think it will ever get easier.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2015 is the best one yet!

  1. Happy New Year! Whoa, I thought my break was nice and chilled you've been really relaxed! I might be a bit jealous:) Sorry, about your homesickness:( Hope you get to spend sometime with your family soon!

  2. Happy New Year! I think it is great that you are Presenting at the I Teach 2nd. I will be there this summer as well. I currently teach kindergarten but am wanting to move up to 1st with this group, so I am looking at either the kindergarten or first grade conferences.
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. Same here with the no makeup, no hair thing! And I can't wait to see you at the I Teach 2nd conference! You're going to ROCK IT!

  4. It's so nice to be able to go makeup free! How exciting that you'll be a presenter this year! I'd love to get into presenting, but I always feel like there aren't very many conferences around me. How did you get into it? Happy 2015!

  5. I've always wanted to try to go a week without makeup! Luckily this vacation has given me a chance to do it. Have you seen the article on Buzzfeed about that? I thought it was super interesting.

    Happy New Year!

  6. All of that time without make-up sounds glorious!!!
We also live 4 1/2 hours from family - it can be so sucky somtimes. I hope you get to go home & visit soon!!

  7. I can't wait to see you in Vegas this summer!! It is going to be amazing! If you are presenting on July 6 it sounds like you'll be there all week!?! We just booked our hotel today!! My husband got approval to go to the DI conference, so we're gong to be there the 5-12!! I'm sorry that you are missing your family too! We lived 12 hours away from my family from 2008 - 2011 when my son was born. It was awful, but I was so thankful my parents moved when my son was born. They are amazing!! I can't wait to hear about your big announcement too!!
