March Currently

Before I get to this months issue of “currently” from Oh Boy 4th grade…if you have not seen the Find the Leprechaun’s Gold” blog hop going on right now…you really need to check it out! 15 lovely ladies linked together to create a FUN blog hop, lot of freebies and chance to win $100 from TPT. Check out the first post here. It took me a little while to do it but it was worth it. I felt like one of my kids saying “what’s next, what’s next!” Thanks ladies for making my Sunday afternoon exciting!

Now on March’s Currently. This is always one of my favorite linkies. Thanks Oh Boy 4th Grade for putting it on. Here’s mine!

Listening: It has been a super lazy Sunday for me! They don’t come around to often. Lonesome Dove is on TV which is my all time favorite movie. Yes, its 8 hours long but it’s 8 hours long of pure greatness. At least this Texas girl thanks so! I’ve enjoyed watching it all do and doing odd and end things around the house!

Loving: For this first time (probably ever) in a while my house and pick up are BOTH CLEAN!!! The dishes are done and so is the laundry (usually my needing for this link up!). The weather has been beautiful today, almost 80 degrees so the windows are open. Its been so nice. Let’s see how long it stays this way.

Thinking: If you don’t know, I’m getting married in June. Throughout this engagement process I have learned that everything is RIDICLIOUSLY EXPENSIVE….which is RIDICLIOUS!!! I’m a simple girl and while I am loving planning my wedding, the cost is insane. The average wedding is now $27,000. This girl is doing it in a 1/3rd of that ya’ll! To help save money, I’ve been pondering the idea of making my own invitations with my cameo. I’m thinking I can do it, just wondering if I have the time. Thoughts?

Wanting: My spring break starts in t-minus 5 days! I am more than ready. The past few weeks have been exhausting and a much needed break is needed.

Needing: To do some shopping!!! My first bridal shower is next Saturday. I’m traveling up to OKC to spend the first half of spring break with my soon to be family. I’m pretty sure I need a new, cute dress to wear to the party! I think that’s a great excuse!

Like: I have a kindle fire! I love it so much but I rarely have the time to just sit down and read or to play on it. Last week, I finished a book I started over Christmas break. I know, that’s pathetic…but I’m determined to make more time for myself. I started reading “The Notebook.” I love the movie and I’m a huge Nicholas Sparks fan. I ‘ve read just about all of his books except this one so I’ve started it and I’ve been reading a little each night. Its been a good way to unwind at the end of the day.

Love: I made a new dish in my crockpot tonight! I found this broccoli and cheese soup on pinterest. I added potatoes to it and it was DE-LICIOUS!!!

Hate: I HATE ALLERGIES!!! They have been kicking my butt the past few days. Since Christmas, I have gone from the flu, to coughing non stop and now I can not breath. This crazy Texas weather needs to get its act together.

This week we are starting patterns in math. Check out my newest item on TPT “Repeating and Additive Pattern Block Cards.” These cards are a great way to introduce or review repeating or additive patterns using pattern blocks. They will also be a great to use in a center. Simply print, laminate and place on a ring. It includes a repeating and additive cover cards, 12 repeating cards and 14 additive cards.

I have these ready to go for tomorrow!

Have a great week ya’ll!

Marcy 🙂
