April Currently

Can ya'll believe that it's already April? March seriously flew by so fast. Now we are all counting down the days until summer vacation. What is it about coming back from spring break that just wears you out? I took a 2 hour nap when I got home today.

I'm linking back up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade for this months currently.

Listening: I'm so excited that baseball season is here! Go RANGERS!!!

Loving: I'm excited to announce that I'm a Aunt again! My 5th nephew was born last night at 11:15! He is absolutely precious and I can't wait to see him this weekend. (His mom and dad have asked us not to post pictures on social media so I'm obeying their wishes. ) I also have 4 nieces.

Thinking: There is so much to do. I love blogging and the TPT world. I have met some fabulous people and it truly makes me a better teacher but sometimes it can get overwhelming. Is almost like a 2nd full time job. Wait, let me rephrase…it is a 2nd full time job. I'm apart of some really great and exciting things coming up so be on the lookout!

Wanting: SUMMER VACATION! I have a lot of fun things planned already. My husband and I will be going to Nashville to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. I'm going to the TPT conference in July with some of my favorite blogging gals! Ashley from Schroeder Shenanigans, Dixie from Teachin' Little Texans, and Angie from Mrs.Olsons Lucky Littler Learners…are you gals ready?!?!?!? I'm beyond excited to share a room with these great ladies!

If anyone has any good recommendations on places to stay or things to do in Nashville, I'd love to hear them!

Needing: I have a real bad problem about coming home from work and not resting. I always jump right into the next work product weather it be school related or TPT related. I have got to make myself spend more time relaxing before I get completely burned out.

Hours and Days: We have to be at school by 7:45 and the school day starts at 8:00. We release at 3:00 but we can't leave until 3:30. I normally leave around 4:00 each day or at least I try too.

I am one tired teacher. I'm going to watch the rest of my game in bed! Goodnight!

  1. I know what you mean about needing to not work so much! Right now teaching is also my hobby and I'm loving it, but know it might end up driving me crazy someday...

Our teaching hours are very similar :) And our last day of school is sooo close...dang cold days!

  2. Oh Marcy, I can totally relate to your post in so many way. First off... I AM SO EXCITED to be your roomie for Vegas! We are all going to have soooo much fun! Second, I feel like I am always tired too! This blogging/TpT job is truly another full time job! I get home before the rest of my family and work for about an hour or so. Then I make supper, eat, clean up, and then it's back on the computer for more work time. Some nights I feel so GUILTY! I need to find a better balance! I hear ya! Just wait until you have children! :) Now, get off that computer and spend time with your hubby! I'm off to do the same thing right now!

  6. Packing and changing characters' names is very nearly transforming an exposition into a fictionalized record, however numerous creators accept that changing a character's name or uniting characters does not divert from the verisimilitude of their story online paper writing

  7. I have the same exact school hours as you. I get home with my three kiddos, have an hour or so for making dinner and getting the toddler settled, and then I tutor from my home for 2 hours a day..so...I wish I had more time for TPT and blogging..but it's pretty hard to balance.
