My take on THE Erin Condren Teacher Planner!

Back at the beginning of the summer, I decided to talk the plunge and splurge on THE Erin Condren teacher planner that I had been hearing (and seeing thanks to instagram) about! When I first saw them, I fell in L-O-V-E!!! You pick your own cover and then customize it to fit your own teacher needs. Then I saw the price and went "YIKES"!!! At first I couldn't justify spending that much on a teacher planner. Then I decided I would just create my own but quickly realized how much little time I had with planning the wedding and all. I started looking around on TPT and found some great resources. We were in the process of moving and my printer was packed away and I didn't have access to my school computer yet so to print everything out was going to be a hassle. I sat down and weighed the pros and cons. In the end I decided to splurge and just do it. I am so happy with my decision! It is DEFINITELY worth the money. After purchasing, it took about 2 1/2 weeks for it to actually be in my hands!
I have lots of pictures to share! Don't worry!
Here is my planner! I went with the "paisley" themed cover. The front and back cover is a think, plastic. Its very sturdy and durable so it won't get messed up when you toss it into your teacher bag!
I love my Erin Condren Teacher Planner! It has everything I need to keep my classroom organized. This post shows a detailed looking inside the planner with lots of photos. You can even earn $10 towards your future EC purchase!
When you open up planner you have an "all about me page" to list user names and passwords. I am so thankful for this. I have about 3 notepad sheets just laying in my desk with the TON of user names I have for different sites.

There is an area to list all of your parent volunteers with their contact info, keep track of field trips and substitute info.

Then comes all of the "tabbed" sections. These tabs are also a thick, laminated plastic. It includes tabs for: dates, absents, graphs, year long planning, a separate tab for all 12 months, lesson plans, checklists and notes.

Of course there is a section for birthdays!

The graphs section is the only one that I'm not sure I'd use a whole lot. It can be used for seating charts or tracking data.

Then come your monthly tabs. Each month you have a calendar and a notes section. As you can see I don't have much on their yet but will very soon with inservice not that far away.

The lessons section is great for jotting down ideas or if you keep a lesson plan book. I normally just type my lesson plans up and save them on my computer. I print them out and keep them in a binder because they have to be turned in at the end of the year. This will be great when working ahead.

The checklist tab is another favorite. I hate have to make so many lists throughout the year and trying to keep up with them. I love how they are all in one spot, with all of your other important info.

At the end you have a few little goodies! I got two sheets of premade calendar labels and 2 sheets of blank labels. Cute colors!

So as you can see, your getting a lot of bang for your buck with this purchase! I just ordered the basic planner. She offers lots of ways to customize your planner to fit your needs. I even got a few surprises with my order but you'll have to order your own to find out what they are! I love how everything you need is in one area. I won't have to carry so many binders and my teacher bag will be a little lighter! So, if you want my personal opinion, take the plunge and splurge!

World Wall Headers, Alphabet Lines, Number Posters and More!!!

Over the past few weeks while I was internet less, I did manage to find the time to create some new products to get ready for back to school. Check them out below and let me know what you think!

A few weeks ago, I talked about my Zebra and Glitter D├ęcor that I made You can read about them here. I made a matching set with chevron and glitter!

These come in color and black and white. To help save ink, you can print the black and white onto colored paper and still get the same glittery look!

I love how cute these turned out!

Here come my alphabet lines! All of them are in a circle shape and measure approximately 7 inches across.

Chevron Cursive Alphabet Line

These are for all you owl lovers out there! These turned out so cute! They make me want to change my theme to owls.

I posted these previews on instagram and had a request for polka dots so here they are!

Last but not least we have my classroom theme! Can you guess what it is?!? ZEBRA! How did you know!

Well, what do you think? What is your classroom theme this year?

Sunday Smorgasbord

I'm linking up with Michelle over at Fabulous in First to share some random moments from my week. If you read my previous post then you know that I just got the internet in my new house. We had to have a phone line installed in our house and lets just say it was quite the ordeal. Anyways, we now I have land line phone. We feel so old!!! No offense to anyone who still uses a land line phone, we just haven't in so long! Do you still use a land line? Here is our new phone! LOL

Raise your hand if your obsessed with instagram?!? I love it! I think I post and look at my teacher account more than I do on my personal account! If you follow all of the fabulous teachers on instagram I'm sure you've seen some wonderful teacher finds. Especially at Target! I have been searching and searching for the dry erase pockets that everyone has found. I have had no such luck! I even drove 20 miles out of the way just to go look! Even though I haven't found the pockets yet, I did manage to snag a few cute deals!

I was so excited when I found those cups! They came in a pack of 4 have a cute dry erase "hello my name is tag" on them! I'm going to get some velcro put them on students desks for them to keep their pencils and other goodies in. What do ya'll think? Good idea?

I managed to grab those peace sign lunch bags...60 bags for a $1!!! WHAT?!? I figured they'd be cute for the kids to decorate, use for writing activities, oh the possibilities are endless!

After I left Target, I met up with my husband to have a lunch date. I don't know about ya'll but I LOVE that! We lived 3 1/2 hours apart before we got married. Being able to meet for lunch is great! While we were eating he says to me, "I almost bought you something for your classroom earlier". Now, I love my husband but he has been alittle overwhelmed with all of my teacher obsessions lately such as school supplies, etc...he's still getting use to it all. I was a little worried when he said this. When I asked what, he said he went to Big Lots and saw zebra storage containers but didn't want to buy them because he thought I wouldn't like them. What do I do after lunch, head straight to Big Lots! I didn't buy the zebra storage containers. They we're alittle pricey BUT I did buy these super cute lunch bags on clearance for $3 each!

Then, that day when my husband came home he was so EXCITED to give me these! Maybe he is learning!

Now I am in the process of moving so I have boxes everywhere and its driving me insane! I took a break from taking things out of boxes to start my first DIY project. My parents found us this great old antique dining table at a garage sale for next to nothing. Here is step one. I recovered the seats of the chairs from this ugly puke green color to the cute floral material I got at hobby lobby!

Up next, refinishing the actual table.

Yesterday, we made a quick trip to my parents house (4 hour drive) to pick up the trailer that has all of my school stuff in it. I'll finally be able to get into my new classroom this week so it was definitely a needed trip to make. This is what I do during long road trips...work!

I've been working on some new alphabet lines in cursive and primary print! You can visit my TPT store to check them out. I'll be blogging about them tomorrow as well as a few other products I've created over the past few weeks!

Now that you've read my random novel, I think I'll stop for now! I got a little carried away because I haven't blogged in so long. I need to get back into routine!

Hope ya'll had a great Sunday!

A NEW look, a NEW last name and NEW reward coupons! {Flash Giveaway}

I'm baaaccckkk!!! After a month and half of no internet, I am FINALLY married, moved into my new house, and we now have internet! I am so excited to be able to blog again! I have been having serious withdrawals. The hubby just didn't understand!

I have SO much to share but first things first....what do you think of my new blog look! The fabulous Christi from Ms. Fultz's Corner designed it for me and did an AMAZING job! I've been working on putting this together since May. She was great to work with and didn't mind my crazy schedule that has been going on these past few months! My new look has actually been ready for a few weeks but without the internet, I couldn't get the final touches set up. Thankfully its all finished and I love the way it turned out! Head on over to her blog and show her some love!

I'm a now a married woman! If we e-mail back and forth or if your use to seeing my name as Marcy Fambro, that has all changed! I've been married since June 22nd, but my name was officially changed to Marcy Bernethy yesterday at the SS office! I will have wedding pics to post soon! I've had a few e-mails asking to see moments of the big day! They are to come soon! I promise! Here is a sneak peak of my big day!

*fist pump!*

Even though I haven't had the internet for awhile, I have still been busy working on a few new products to show ya'll! Over the next few days I'll be sharing some of them with you! I'm working on getting them uploaded to TPT now! I've also been working on updating some of the first products I created to give them a better look! One of my most popular items has been my classroom rewards coupons.

Last year I did away with my treasure box and tried the coupon system instead. This was one of the best decisions I've made. The kids loved it but the best part about them is that it didn't cost me ANYTHING! This file originally included 22 classroom reward coupons. You can read about them here. I have added 13 NEW coupons to this file as well as a FREEBIE to my classroom rewards notebook.  I keep my in a binder in plastic sleeves. This works out so great!! When they fill up their sticker chart, they knew exactly where the binder is kept, they pick out their coupon, and then they are excited and good to go! Here is what my binder looks like!

If you already own them be sure to head on over to TPT and redownload them. They also have cute, updated fonts!

Since I've been away for awhile, I'll giveaway my new coupons to the first three people to comment below! Just leave me your e-mail address below and tell me how you could use these in your classroom!

I hope everyone has been having a GREAT summer! Don't forget to follow me on instagram @saddleupfor2ndgrade!
